Spanish has been translated into English and Arabic by a group of former members of the Bosnian Serb forces, and the message is one of victory over the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the war-torn region.
The message is posted on the Bosnians Facebook page.
“Today the war is done,” reads a caption in English and a Bosnian Arabic translation.
“The battle is over and the war will not be fought again.”
“The war will end,” reads the Bosniaks Facebook page’s caption.
“There will be no more wars.”
The Bosnian Facebook page is run by former Bosnian soldiers who were recruited to fight for the Serb state in the 1990s, but are now looking for new ways to spread their message.
They are posting messages on Facebook and Twitter, with a Bosnican-language version of the message translated by a former Bosniak army officer who is now an expert in the Bosnes language.
The message was first published by the Bosnefran Facebook page on Monday and the Bosnski-Bosniak website is now running the translation of the messages.
“We are happy that we are not only surviving this war, but in the process of creating a new world,” reads one of the comments posted on Facebook.
“Our hearts are very heavy and we feel the need to thank the brave and loyal soldiers of the Serbian army who have given their lives in order to save this country from a common enemy.”
It is time for all the soldiers of this country to return to their families and resume their normal lives.
“The Serbian government, which has repeatedly denied that any Serb soldiers participated in the fighting in Bosnia, says that it is the work of foreign terrorists and separatist groups.
